Confessions of a Dog Lover

My name is Tamara. I'm a dog lover.

There, I admitted it. I have always been an animal lover, but never thought of owning one. The thought of having to take care of an animal was enough for me just to admire them at a distance. I always thought it was a little weird for people to call their pets "kids".  Well that all changed when I got married. I made it quite clear to the hubby that I did not want to get a dog. Well here we are 4 years later having just adopted our second puppy. I couldn't imagine not having them around. They are so funny & full of personality! Here are my dogs kids, Sadie & Lyla (Lyla prefers profile shots).





My confession
I'm not too keen on cats as I am super allergic and so is the hubby. We enjoy their cuteness from afar. However, I simply love Go Fish's hand carved felines! They are so unique that I couldn't help myself. Here are a few of my favorites.

I love this minty kitten. It makes a perfect ring holder.
I love the distressed paint work; it gives it a vintage feel.


What is not to love about this fashion forward feline?
The intricate batik inspired paint work is amazing. She keeps my vogue magazines company.


It was love at first stripe when I saw this unique piece!
I love all things whimsy & could help myself when I saw Stripes.
He'll be sitting on my bookshelf next to my fairy tale collection.

    Cute doggies! We have kitties, but I've been wanting a puppy for awhile and hope we can add one to our family someday because I love dogs too.

    I love these handcarved felines! I think the top one is my favorite, so pretty!

    I think I prefer cats to dogs, I just happen to love how cuddly they are. Dogs are really amazing as well though, since one can get the impression that they are always so loyal and will never leave you. I don't have any pets right now, but who knows- maybe it will change just like in your case :)

The shop carries the most amazing clothing and accessories, and I really like that the funds go to a good cause. These kitties are absolutely fabulous. Like you, I'm a dog person (I have 3!), but I do have a soft spot for kitties. :)

    Love the stripe cat! As for being a dog lover, my boyfriend was like you... he loved them but from afar. Then we got our doberman, Encore and he fell i love. They really do have the best personalities!

    I'm a total dog lover as well. Actually, it's a little overbearing. Every dog I see, I want. If I was rich and had a huge house with tons of acres, I'd probably own so many dogs. Yours are super cute by the way.

      Mutts! lol Sadie is a Shepherd mix and Lyla is a Pit Bull Terrier mix! We adopted both of them from the humane society.

    I'm not a cat lover too..I had the misfortune of getting bitten by one before..although I think it was my fault..I think I stepped on the poor kitten's tail while strutting (unconsciously) my 5 inch stilettos. :o Karma was quick. Haha. Had to get 9 injections after. Oh..those felines can bite!

    Sadie and Lyla are so cute, specially Lyla, full of personality! :P
    Funny, my boyfriend always had dogs and he is always trying to make me want dogs too, I love dogs (and other pets) but I'm always telling him that when we moved together first it will be just us two, then the babies and then the puppies. Probably I'm gonna be like you, a "no dogs" person to a dogs lover! X)
