LBD: The Go Fish Way

All stores have a signature look. For the past 26 years, we've been selling the Go To Maxi. It has been created in every color under the sun. Last summer, we wanted to change it up a bit. Enter the Milan Dress – everything you love about our maxi in a shorter style. Today, you'll get an exclusive look at our very own Little Black Dress.

At our last photoshoot, four home office employees and our make-up artist had the opportunity to style the little black dress any way they like. Here are the results!

Natalie is our resident clothing buyer and by far the most fashionable of the bunch. It's no surprise that her outfit could be worn on a modern-day Audrey Hepburn.

Tamara brought us the Brooklyn flavor. She is our website coordinator and a New York native. The denim top and sunglasses remind us of the 80's in the best possible way. Too bad our model wasn't interested in a perm!

My name is Sara and I'm the Creative & Design Director here at Go Fish. I'm always looking for the most comfortable, easy way to make a statement. A patterned scarf with jeans and a t-shirt is my favorite way to look pulled together without trying too hard.

Katherine is a make-up artist based in Savannah, Georgia. We hired her for our photoshoot knowing that she would take the models' looks to the next level. Guess what...we were right!

A little hippie, a little rock-n-roll...a little sugar, a little spice...if this doesn't sum up Loree, I don't know what does. Loree heads up our Jewelry & Accessories Department and is always on the hunt for the next trend and the perfect new color.

Earth Day is here and it's a great reminder to take a step back and see what things we can do, not only to celebrate this day but to change the environment for the better. 

Here's our top 10!

1. Walk, Hike, Ride A Bike
If people in the U.S. would occasionally ride a bike for a short errand instead of driving a car, over 70 million gallons of fuel could be saved each year! And there’s the added benefit of enjoying the fresh air and exercise! For short errands, take a hike!
2. Plant your own vegetable garden
3. Buy some reusable shopping bags
4. Green Your Machine
Americans waste over 700 million gallons of gasoline each year just because tires aren't properly inflated. Millions more are wasted because our vehicles aren't properly tuned up. Keep your machine running ‘Green!’ You’ll save money and reduce emissions!
5. Carpool
6. Swap out your light bulbs with energy efficient ones
7. Cook in batches and freeze for later
Planning meals in advance can help reduce stress around cooking. It also helps reduce food waste.

8. Plant A Tree Every Earth Day!
Over a 50-year lifetime, a tree generates $31,250 worth of oxygen, provides $62,000 worth of air pollution control, recycles $37,500 worth of water, and controls $31,250 worth of soil erosion. It also provides shade that keeps homes and cities cooler!
9. Go Paperless.  
 Signing up for paperless bills is a great way to save some trees.
10. Reduce, Reuse Recycle
It’s more than just a slogan. You can start making the world a ‘greener’ place today: return hangers to the cleaners, donate clothing and computers to charities, pack lunches in reusable containers instead of bags, there are hundreds of easy things to do! It’s up to you!l

Shop Sandals

Meet Audrey. Little Miss Audrey is third-generation Go Fish. She has been wearing her jelly sandals to the beach for months now. 

Our corporate office is right on the Georgia coast and beach weather is in full swing. We've been thinking about sandals and it seems like ya'll have too! Our Dulce Sandals are flying off shelves in stores and online.

We had so much fun during our Spring 2013 Collection photo shoot. The weather was perfect for our shoot. Our fabulous location, a private residence on St. Simons Island, was the perfect setting for our shoot.
