it’s the season for impromptu picnics in the park

Who doesn’t love a great summer picnic? Here at the home office we have a love affair with an activity on Saint Simons Island called Jazz in the Park. Most Sunday evenings during the summer the Golden Isles Arts and Humanities group invites different bands to play in the waterfront park at the lighthouse. Locals and vacationers alike flock to the park with their beach chairs, tables, finger foods and drinks of choice to enjoy the beautiful view and great music with friends. Here is the view from the last Jazz in the Park that Ashley, our Merchandise Manager attended.

Obviously, Go Fish fans are some of the most popular at picnics because we bring pretty accessories. Some of the favorite items among avid picnic-ers are our Confetti Glass pieces from Mexico. Each piece is unique as it is mouth blown by local artisans in Tlaquepaque who have learned this craft as a way to support themselves and their families. In our stores, we offer water glasses, wine glasses, votive holders, salad bowls and a gorgeous vase just to name a few of the styles. They create gorgeous table settings for great summer parties and they also make for great wedding presents. Doesn’t it seem like everyone is getting married right now?!
Check out some of the pieces below:

We also have some great rattan baskets that arrived from Indonesia. They created a great wine bottle tote that also doubles as a flatware tote. You can see it paired below with some of our other glassware from Mexico. Hope to see all of you in the stores soon!
